Saturday Morning.

Every once in awhile we get a "real" Saturday morning.   A Saturday morning where we don't have to be anywhere, or have anyone over (yet), or do anything pressing and we can stay in our pajamas a little longer and have breakfast at 9 or 10 or 11.  This is such a lovely treat - especially after a busy and tiring week.   The house was pretty quiet and all of a sudden I realized that we were all busy with our own projects and it was good.  So I took pictures.

Above:  Eli is SUPER keen that his homework in grade 1 is reading... ON THE COMPUTER!  He is doing a program called Raz Kids.  He is a really good reader and now he gets points for it!

I was scrapbooking a lovely "wedding" book for Rachel and Rob - almost done!

Steve was making cider with his homemade ciderpress.  He made over 5 litres of cider this weekend.  It tastes like drinking an apple.  Lucky us!

Nadine used her sewing skills to fix the holes in her (and the boys') stuffies.  Busy.

Silas and Judah bathe.  Once they were out, they were both playing on the trampoline in the rain and then organized by Nadine to make a "pet" house, "pet" costumes for halloween and "pet" bowls and treaty bags out of paper.   Maybe I should get a picture of that, too... :)

  1. Steve, what a good idea using a car jack. I can't imagine getting the inclination to make my own apple cider. Good for you!
