Nine!

 Birthday Waffles and presents before school.  How did Judah get to be 9?!  Handsome fella.

 Q: Judah! What are your most favourite things to do?
 A: Ride my bike! Open Geodes, make clubs with Nadine, play Knights-and-Castles, trampoline, collect rocks, playmobil, shoot baskets, play football, watch movies, go to the drive-in, Avengers, collect crystals...

 Q: Judah! What do you want to be when you grow up?
 A: Well, I want to be a policeman, a miner, a jeweler, a drummer, a teacher and a dad.

 Q: Judah! What do you think of your family?
 A: The best family in the world!  I think Reuben is cool.  I think Nadineke is fun.  I think Eli is interesting.  I think Silas is a good brother.  Mum and Dad are the best Mum and Dad ever!

 Q: Judah! What are you favourite things to eat? Least favourite?
 A:  I like hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets and pears, apples, raspberries and frozen blueberries.  I hate potatoes, rice, cheese, butter and cooked vegetables.

 Q: Judah! What do you want to do/learn when you are 9?
 A:  I want to learn how to snowboard, bike fast, relax, read the next Big Nate book (Big Nate In the Zone), collect more Gems, play football, have my friends over...

 Judah, we love you so much :)  You are a joy to our family and to all of our hearts.  You are funny, generous, thoughtful and have such a great imagination.  We are happy to see you grow even though we say stop. :)

Because Thursday was Judah's birthday, he got a break from papers and got to stay home (with Stella) all by himself!  Sure is growing up :)  Quick supper and then Nadine and I were off to GEMS and Steve and the boys broke Geodes with hammers.  Perfect day.

Rock Party!

 Judah requested a Rock Party for his 9th birthday party and we did our best!  We started with Judah showing off his rock and jewel collections which were a big hit!  Judah loved showing them off and having the boys be impressed.

 Judah had a wonderful party - Chocolate Rock candies, we tried to make Rock candy suckers (4xs! didn't work) and rock pets.  Reuben played Rock music for the boys and we all admired rocks and amazing stones.  Happy Judah.

Grand Bend Sunday

 Checking out all the ice and snow at Grand Bend.  We only walked out to the first "sand bar/ice mountain."  The entire lake froze over this winter so it will take a long time to warm up this summer!  Even so, we are excited for another beach summer.

Hello Eli!

Papers.

We started this paper route in the Fall because the kids wanted to go to Great Wolf Lodge.  There was no extra money so we decided to earn it just for the purpose of a little holiday.

  We have over 200 papers to deliver and now when we ALL go it takes us just under an hour every Thursday to deliver.  We started in the Fall which was perfect - light outside, clear sidewalks and somewhat warm... the winter was tough being so cold and snowy.  We used the van a lot more this winter to warm up our faces :)  Now that the time has changed and the snow is starting to melt, we are keen to keep earning money for our next holiday - Day Camp this summer!

Renkema's March Break Visit.

 Marya and her boys visited us for a day this March break and it was the perfect way to start our break, for sure!
