USA!

When Steve went on SERVE this summer in the States the kids were surprised that Steve and the Youth were just going to DRIVE there!  He wasn't going to fly there!  Then we realized that we owed our kids a real life geography lesson.  We pulled out the map, showed them how close we actually were to the States, and then we drove them there for a fun day-away.
Most of our day was spent on the Canadian side (Sarnia) having a picnic, watching all the big boats and ships go by and (the most fun!) throwing rocks in the water.

We gathered our birth certificates and passports and headed over to the States.  We didn't go far or do too much but our highlights were:
1. A little shopping at big box stores looking for a birthday present for Reuben (a scooter!).  The kids don't really do much shopping so it was fun to look through the toy sections (prices weren't all that good, I thought!) and playing with the electronics in Electronic section.
2. Eating out at McDonalds (now that was way cheaper!)
3. Buying interesting beer at Walmart.
