Thomas Day in Clinton.

All dressed in Blue and ready to go - the kids all happy to make this outing happy and special for Silas. Silas was very appreciative of all the attention - especially after being deprived :) all week of it as the kids were in school.

Saturday was Thomas Day!  Silas is seriously into Thomas and it was special to have this day so close to home.  It was a rainy day so we went the park where Thomas day was, then the Thrift store as it down-poured and then back to the park as the sun came out.
Judah is wearing his (most beloved new purchase) Thor costume under his sweater - that is why his muscles are so bulgy.

Handsome Thor!

Silas the funny engineer.
The Thomas day was at the School on Wheels.  This is the original school car that traveled from rural/remote "community" to "community".  Half of the car is a school with desks and blackboards and the other half is the family's home.  The family would spend a week in each area and the school children would walk in and board at the nearest home.  It was such an interesting part of history to actually tour.  I was fascinated.

Defending his Thomas ride from the other toddlers while colouring a Thomas picture (that I forgot to take along with me.)

Inside the School train car.  This was the home side.  The back wall is bunk beds.
Eli was fascinated with the sewing machine and the typewriter.  The family had 5 children in this little home.

This was one of the highlights for Silas.  The rest of us were pretty impressed with the bendy-curvy track.

A fun day and a very pleased Silas!
