First day of School! The kids left on the bus at 7:50 and Mom, Silas left right after them to meet up for the opening assembly.
There are two buses now coming Exeter way so the kids now get their own seats! Luxury! Two other little girls meet the bus at our house and Nadine is VERY pleased that one of them is her friend. Reuben is one of the "big" kids now on the bus - only 3 older than him!
Eli grade 1.
First day: Eli came home happy about school, his teacher, friends but sad that their math sheet was pictures and not numbers. He wrote a letter to his teacher last night asking when they were going to do adding and subtracting two (digit) number and times tables. He's ready! :)
Silas was sad that he didn't get to go to school but also glad that he didn't have to go.
Today (our real first day home) he said he was lonely 10 minutes after the bus left. It is going to be a strange adjustment for him.
Reuben (far left back, he was waving at me but that picture is even blurrier) - grade 6. LOVES school!
What a blessing we have to send our kids to a school that proclaims and encourages and teaches, "In Christ Alone"
The theme for this year is: Rooted to Grow in Christ!
So happy to read this update! I've been wondering the last two days how things went yesterday! The kids all look happy and ready to go! I can't believe (really cannot) that Eli is requesting numbers. GIVE ME THE PICTURES! I hope you and Silas find your groove soon! It's going to be pretty neat to see how he responds to this new one-on-one time with you. Exciting times!
