On morning we headed into Barry's Bay and wandered around like tourists - looking at art, old things, all the other tourists/cottagers going by and getting some groceries.
Reuben and Nadine treated us all to a large sugar cone ice-cream at the Dairy Freez with the money they made feeding a church families' cats. All of them ate all their ice-cream (except Silas who even started out with a small...) Yum!
On the way home we stopped in at the Renkemas and admired their new home, their cute puppy and their awesome view. The kids all played and played and ran about and re-united their cousin-ness. It was a good break in the middle of our long drive home.
Here the kids are ages: 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Missing: Hendrik and Anneke, ages 2 and 1!
We played a lot of games this past week much to Eli's joy. Favourites (and oftern repeated games) were: War (with Daddy's fancy cards), Uno, Othello, Checkers and Rummy-O.
It sure is nice when your children can treat you! I remember when Stephen would call from work (Warren's) and tell me not to cook supper--he was treating the family for supper! Just so wonderful!
