Judah at Canada's Wonderland

Continuing the tradition, I (Steve) took Judah out to Canada's Wonderland this summer, as he had graduated from Grade 1!

[Note- my camera's shutter was misbehaving that day, snapping the pictures often 3-4 seconds after pressing the button, resulting in many pictures of the pavement, my legs, or random people.  To make up for it, though, I have 2 fantastic movies of my awesome kid on roller coasters...!)

We started the day off at the Haunted Mansion on Boo Hill, Judah's choice, as that was Reuben's first ride too.  After that was the Ghoster Coaster (actually a decent thrill ride with short line ups) to test whether or not Judah really did like roller coasters.  He did.  He then begged to go on The Bat and, as he was just tall enough, we did, and never looked back.

We went on every roller coaster that he was tall enough for, skipping the milder kids' rides.

At 11, we went to the water park as soon as it was open, and pretty much walked onto every ride there, with no lineups at all.  I was pretty impressed him- he even was game to go on the rides where he had to go down the tube alone!

We watched the diving and trampoline show around lunchtime, and the acrobatic show in the theatre in mid-afternoon.  Judah somewhat reluctantly agreed to go to each, but was blown away by both presentations.  Bonus- the divers/trampolinists began their routine in purple and red Ninja suits!

About halfway through the day, Judah started putting his hands up on the roller coasters, and insisted that we go back to his two favorites, The Bat and The MineBuster, so that he could do them again with his hands up the whole time (which he did).

And of course, the day would not be complete without a Funnel Cake.  So much stuff on that plate that he and I had trouble finishing it between the two of us!

Here is the first of the two videos- Judah on The Vortex

And the second- Judah on The Mighty Canadian Minebuster
What a kid...
