Total favourite toy. The stories that come out of this play! I love it.
Also, we are back to pajama days on Silas' home-days. Look forward to a winter of Silas in foot pajamas. Sadly, none of these pajamas will last for his little boy cousins next year...
Judah drew a picture on our fridge-white-board of himself and Steve. aw.
Reuben doing homework. The boys making AWESOME drawings. Also, we changed the dining room around... obviously makes more floor space.
Eli learning the lyrics and song, "Almighty." Eli LOVES singing and memorizes lyrics so easily. He is a joy to watch. He past favourite song was "Lord of the Dance" and it nice to have a bit of a break from singing that song :)
Reuben bought a Galaxy from his Auntie Jenn this Fall with his lawn mowing money from the summer. He (and Steve!) have had a lot of fun with it - lots of parental controls, good music and lots of fun games. Reuben and Eli's new interest is a game called, "Dragon City." Here the boys are watching a dragon egg hatch.
Nadineke and Judah made a fort to read in with the backhouse pillows. They read for a long time and then the next day, they made a pillow fort big enough to sleep in together. They lasted about an hour, reading and eating their "midnight snack" before they went to their own beds. It was too hot and too squishy and the kitten wouldn't leave them alone. No pictures of that fort, but it was pretty impressive.
Side-ways picture of the first fort. The strings were used to hang flashlights from the "roof."
Eli loves to read in bed at night. He is reading all about Henry Huggins here.
We put all the "knights, castles and fairy" toys away and brought out all the playmobil for the winter. All the kids play together (somewhat well) and come out with the most interesting stories. Today (Sunday) we took out the playmobil Nativity set. Remember when you bought that Rachel and Hannelle? I don't even think Judah was born yet!
Steve has been teaching Eli how to play Euchre. He understands it and plays pretty well. Next up is playing with 4 players. Also! Today we started (but not finished) putting up our tree. So cosy.
I love hearing about your family's latest activities! And I love the pictures! I do have a question, though. You said, "Look forward to a winter of Silas in foot pajamas. Sadly, none of these pajamas will last for his nephews next year..." Silas has nephews? Did something happen that I don't know about? :-) Looking forward to seeing all of you next weekend!
