Dad and I made my kub car awesome. We added all the modifications to the car to make it go faster. We put graphite on it to make it go even more faster. We bent the wheels outward so there could less friction and we put weights on the top to make it go fast. It had to weigh 5 ounces and it did weigh exactly five ounces. It was perfect!
At the kub kar race my car came 1st, then 1st and then 2nd and then 3rd. Then I noticed something wrong with my car - it was going slower! It turns out the councellors put oil on all the cadets cars' wheels including mine to make all the cars go faster.
And since I had put graphite on it before, it gummed up the wheels!
In the end I came in 8th.
It really sucked that this happened but I know next time we have a kub car race, I am going to keep my car with me and I am going to rock! When that race happens, I will be in grade 8. This makes my Mum sad. But I think, "WOOO-HOOO!!!"

Reuben--thanks for the report about your kub kar! It reminds me so much of when your dad and uncle David had to work on their kub kars. Grandpa helped them as well, and they always did well on the races too! It sounds like a real fun activity!
ReplyDeleteWay at go, Reuben! You did great!
ReplyDeleteAwesome car, Reuben! I like the skeleton head at the front. Good idea to hold on to your car next time - I can't believe it was double greased!! I can't wait to see what your car will do in Grade 8!
