Reuben and Nadineke are both in the Chess club this year. (Eli cannot wait to be in grade 4 and he can join the club as well.) They had several quick games but Nadineke is getting there!
Very tense as Nadineke thought Reuben was being a little too competitive. She really thought he should give her some tips as to how to get some more of his pieces.
Judah got this hoodie for his birthday last year and this year, it fits Eli. Eli loves to wear it and be "creepy." I agree it was a little creepy to see him at the computer.
Silas and Eli made this fort to eat their toast in one Saturday morning. Eli also read a story to Silas - "The First of Octember!" is a favourite and it is from the library. Since this picture, this book as been lost (and renewed)... I just got the idea now to look for it under the couch...!
Tante Hannelle (thoughtfully and to the thrill of these five) sent along to 242 (with me after my Redeemer class day) 5 Green Lantern rings! SO. awesome. The boys played and played with these. Nadineke did not last as long but the boys! They are still playing with these rings!
J, R and N filled balloons with water and froze them outside. Very interesting and fun.
