A Little Bit About Eli.

Loves interactive activities.  Hates to be left out.  Best friends and frustrated with Silas, plays really really well with all the kids.  Trampoline all the time.  Like puzzles. Hates to think he is being laughed at, even though we are usually just laughing with him.

Eli loves money and counting.  Here, he has made his own money/dollars and is showing it off.   It is 1 linity (Eli's word for an amount lower than infinity) and one hundred dollars.  His previous favourite number -infinity- became too frustrating when he couldn't write it down in numbers, not a symbol.

The boys noticed that Daddy fell asleep on the couch and decided to join him.  No sadness/worries for Steve, I sent him to bed that Sunday afternoon.

Eli's Progress report - fall 2013
"I have been very pleased with how Eli has adjusted to grade one routines.
He is confident in his reading and enjoys finding something new in what he is reading.
Eli is sensitive and caring toward his peers."

Eli had a bit of a difficult start to grade one - tired by the end of the week, not wanting to go to school in the morning, sad that friends wouldn't play with him...  But now that school is nicely on its way, he is doing great!  He can (almost :) go a whole week and not get too tuckered, he is having fun with his friends and had a great birthday party and he is fine going to school in the morning.  A good adjustment.

Eli loves Monopoly.  He has :  Old Monopoly, Monopoly Jr., Fast Cash Monopoly, Star Trek Monopoly (borrowed from Daddy) and he really really wants Empire Monopoly for Christmas.

Eli's Thanksgiving Craft:
Thank you Lord for... DS

Eli loves screens of all kind but especially gaming screens.  He plays at the same level/equally with Judah and Reuben and loves connecting on games to play together.  He would even loves connecting with Silas and teaching him how to play a certain game.  He would rather play his DS than watch a movie.  He likes running on the Wii Fit, too  :)  We have to watch this tendency in him, though, he is pretty hooked.

Eli is a great crafter and drawer.  He has a great imagination and is a superb reader.  He likes to talk and snuggle and play and bounce and draw bombs and fire bolts and cannons.
This is a picture of a man and a car fighting while flying.
Cannons and guns and explosions.

This is from the summer when Eli was trying to write out infinity.  He got kind of tired near the end.
Eli is such a sweetheart and joy.  He loves to be around people and play together and chat and talk about things and figure things out.  It is wonderful to see his character and confidence grow.  When Steve prays with the kids at night, he always says, "Help Eli grow into a strong Christian young man." and all pray that he does.

  1. What I thought right away is that he can write a side-ways '8', which is the symbol for infinity, but then I saw the infinity symbol on the bottom of his page writing out infinity! Also, his exploration of infinity looks a lot like binary code.
