Reuben and Ryan - Birthday Party!

Reuben had his good friend Ryan over after school yesterday.  Steve did the birthday decorations.

Boys in trees.  They are riskier when there are two of them.

A remote control car is what Reuben REALLY wanted and although we said no (his gift from us is way more cool ;) and Ryan teased that he got Reuben a doll with a bottle, he did get the car.  He (very excitedly!) brought it so school today.  I am not sure if it will survive the day but he will be a BIG hit at recess and that might just be worth it.

Steve took the boys to London for a (fast) supper out and some...

Rock climbing!  Reuben has been climbing things (everything!) since he could climb anything  and this was a dream of his...

 

The boys (and Steve who was the only one to get to the top) were great climbers and enjoyed "falling" down.
And since it was a half-price, why not throw in some half-price glo-golfing, too? :)

The boys ended their day driving the remote control car in the dark back highschool parking lot, all we could hear was laughter and loud exclamations.  No, actually, they ended their day late at night chatting and giggling and thumping and told to "be quiet now, it's late!"  A VERY fun evening and party for Reuben and Ryan.  It sure is awesome being able to give them these kinds of experiences and memories.
