Holiday Beach Afternoon.

This holiday Monday, my Dad was gone biking for Sea to Sea and Steve and Judah skipped town to hang out in the city with (Tante) Rachel and (Uncle) Rob before their big day at CWL leaving Mom and me and the 4 kids to celebrate the day "off" on our own.  So! We headed to the beach!

We came as all the campers were leaving and found a lovely piece of beach all to ourselves (and so that Stella could run about, too!)  The kids played differently with out Judah but just as nice.  The three "oldest" were in the water for the first bit (the water was still quite warm) and after our long walk, we all just played in the sand.

Silas loves boardwalks and just wants to play on them.  Up and down, up and down over and over.  Happily for him, we spent some time at the end of our Pinery day on some dunes (called sand mountains by Silas)

A jump!

Beauty.

Swing!

Little boys following Reuben about...

and about...

and about.  Reuben is such a great big brother.

Silas found and befriended many lady bugs... (are they called that when they are more orange in colour?)  He let them crawl all over his arms and back and hair... chatted to them and encouraged them on their Silas-journey.  Kept Silas quite occupied.

Group shot!  Eli was quite pleased with this picture of himself - very "ninja-y" if you ask him.  (He is holding two metal beach "diggers")

Then! The dunes!  Up and down and up and down and sliding and rolling and crawling and jumping and leaping and hiding and running and up and down.  Where they get that energy after being at the beach all afternoon...?!!!  But, a for sure highlight.  Silas' favourite part of the day.  (Nadine's is swimming with waves)

A late supper of French Fries (and pickles) in Grand Bend on the way home.  Perfect!  We missed Opa and Steve and Judah but still had a wonderful day together.
