Reuben is going to grade 6 this year (!) Oma and I took him shopping in London on this Monday past, just special for some "back to school" things. (Half-Price day at V.V. :) We were less than 5 min into our first store when Reuben said he didn't feel well. He almost fainted and then lay in the van with a hot fever while Mom and I finished up. Shopping day out - fail.
So later on this week Opa and Oma watched the others while Reuben and I went out on a date. We shopped for binders and dividers and found 12 cents paper at Shoppers, we looked at Scientific Calculators (we are going to wait for those to go on sale) and little staplers and bought Eli some Canadian-cashed themed erasers. Then, we headed over to the boys clothes and chatted about styles we liked (Reuben likes skinny jeans) and he picked out some *new!* indoor shoes - what a treat! And because I was so enamoured and was really enjoying his company, I let him buy this hat :) What a cool kid.
We ended our morning with a hair cut and a Root Beer float at A&W - chatting about school, friends, changes, the bus ride, how grade 8ers look smaller every year, birthdays and birthday parties.
It is such a happy feeling to love being with your handsome son.
Something about this pic really brings out the resemblance between you and Nadine, Sarah :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day out you had!
