Reuben's Zoo Class Trip!

Last week Grade 5 and 6 went on a field trip to the Toronto Zoo!  VERY very very very exciting!  I think Reuben said, "I am so excited!" at least 10 times in the days before leaving.  They were gone all day (6am-9pm) but had so much fun on this new kind of adventure.

Kids were allowed to bring along cameras and games and Reuben brought his 3DS along and took pictures.  There were a lot of pictures (and movies) from the day - here are just a few.

The Pandas were a highlight but all Reuben took of the pandas were  videos.  All the Pandas did was eat bamboo, though.  Once the kids saw a panda reach over (!) for some bamboo - that was the most action they saw.

Top of a teepee.

Snapping Turtle.  Didn't move at all.

Reuben: The highlight of the day was seeing a enormous turtle and it was flat and the shell was over a metre.   But my favourite part was the orangutangs.  They were the most active and the most interesting to watch.  Another highlight was stopping at McDonalds on the way home and ordering whatever I wanted!  I ordered two cheeseburgers, no onions, extra pickles and a medium fries.  Also a Coco Cola, Coco Cola Zero and Sprite all in one cup.  Also the Tarantuala was cool and the bird-eating-spider (which rarely eats birds).

  1. Ahh! So good! The Toronto Zoo is amazing!!! I'm so glad that Reuben had a great time! Although it's too bad that the famous Panda's were boring :) I love that the Orangetans were a highlight -- they are so facinating to watch.

Next time, I want to be a chaperone!!
