Today Eli graduated from SK! In the morning before the bus, he was most excited about coming home from school early (after the grad), the snacks we were bring along for the "party" afterwards and the fact that Daddy would be there! He was most upset about not being able to wear cool clothes (hot wheel shorts and mario T-shirt) and that I combed his hair. He even had to check in the mirror after I combed his head to see if it was still OK.
But he graduated quite well and waved and waved and waved and waved and waved all through the program. The class sang their favourite songs (If I were a Butterfly, 10 000 Reasons, Superman song etc..), recited Scripture (Psalm 23 and 100 etc...) and chanted several poems.
Eli's report card was glowing and full of encouragement for him to always look to God as his shepherd. He had all check pluses in math (his favourite number is infinity and loves adding and figuring out numbers) and the only check minus was for how he holds the pencil.
We are very proud of Eli and how he is growing into a child who loves God and others and also likes to be included and have fun:)
Congratulation, Eli! I'm sorry that I couldn't be there. Love your smile with the missing tooth!
ReplyDeleteWhat a proud little guy! Eli has the cutest smile, it's true. In the fifth picture, I see so much of you, Sarah! Congratulations to you and Steve on this big milestone!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Eli!! I am so proud of you and all the work that you've done this year! (And don't be sad! When you graduate from Redeemer :) you can wear whatever you want under your gown -- even a Mario shirt!)
