Nadine had 6 friends over this Friday for her birthday party. It was cheery, fun, a little loud and really really good. The girls just chatted and laughed and played the whole time. We started off with a scavenger hunt...
Some kind of trampoline game where all the girls were orphans. When I walked by, they were discussing who would be the mother and none of them wanted to be... Should Nadine be the mother because it is her birthday? or not be the mother because it is her birthday? Luckily, I called for supper and dissolved the dilemma.
Bowling!
We were the only ones at the alley and they later made it "Glow in the Dark" bowling and put music on for us. Here is the owner giving the girls some tips and encouragement and general rules. It was pretty interesting to hear his bowling stories and have the whole time there very laid back.
The girls liked bowling and did OK but I think just as equally they enjoyed playing hospital (surgeries, nurses, doctors, having babies, glass eyes, knee replacements) and dancing to the cool (!) music in the black light when it wasn't their turn.
What a wonderful birthday party! Looks like you and your friends had fun! I hope you have a wonderful year, precious girl!
